Eletric Violins?

I'm really trying to improve on my violin playing and eventually when i'm a bit better i'd love to play the violin in a and with some friends, do you think an eletric violin is best for this? approximately how much do they cost? thanks

An electric violin is best for what? What type of music are you playing? You can use it to jazz up classical music or to play guitar music with a little more of a classical sound.

yea..... electric violins and regular violins can play any kind of music. i can play beautiful girls, hey there delilah, and bleeding love on my violin. most electric violins are like around 100 dollars. of course u have some that are super cheap and super expensive. stay away from the super cheap and just get one between like 120 and 200
