Elevation certificate accuracy?

What is the accuracy of an elevation certificate done by a surveyor? My situation is I am in a AE11 flood zone and my bottom floor came in at 10.35. The closest benchmark is within 150 ft. All I need is 10.5 and I can go post firm and save a lot of money. Any suggestions?

If those are feet, the difference is 0.15 foot or 1.8 inches.

Pretty small difference, and surveyor's errors are in that area or a little better, by my vague recollection.

You might try getting it resurveyed. Or build your floor up 2 inches.
