The Rhone giants would be hoping to collect maximum points at the weekend in order to reach the summit. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-Lyonnais-c40130 and Paris Saint-Germain will not play until Sunday allowing Marseille to claim the top spot for few hours at least.
However, OM coach, Elie Baup is taking nothing for granted and has warned his players not to take their Saturday’s opponents lightly. While talking to reporters, the Frenchman stated that although Toulouse have performed poorly in their last two games, they
are still a quality side and they have caused all kinds of trouble to other teams in the league this season.
Referring to Lyon’s defeat at the hands of Les Pitchouns, the former Bordeaux boss said that Alain Casanova’s side showed what they are capable of with a win over league leaders, and is expecting a strong opposition from the hosts on Saturday as well.
"During their last two games Toulouse were not the team that we saw against Lyon. I think against us we'll see the Toulouse side which beat Lyon. (We will see) the side who scored three times and who had a great midfield and good wing play.”
Talking about the title race, the Marseille boss said that Ligue 1 is very competitive and very open this season. The 57-year-old believes that it is too early to suggest who will win the Championelle as there are many teams who are capable of achieving
that feat.
According to Elie Baup, Paris Saint-Germain are favourites to clinch their first Ligue 1 crown in eighteen years as they are improving day by day. And after the cash-laden club from Paris, the league is very open and the boss feels that predicting who will
finish second or third would be very tough.
"The championship is still to be decided. I feel that PSG are starting to be more efficient, to score a lot, and to improve their attacking play. This Ligue 1 campaign is really open. I'll say again that PSG should outclass everyone, but behind them it's
still very open."
