And coach, Elie Baup is far from pleased with the outcome of the match, but is remaining confident and has urged the players to focus on the upcoming games.
While talking to reporters after the match, the 57-year-old stated that it was a disappointing result for everyone at the club and has admitted that Marseille weren’t at their best on Sunday. The coach added that Les Phoceens enjoyed a lot of possession
on the pitch but they failed to convert their chances and were punished for that in the end.
Praising the opposing team, Baup said that Troyes played really well and they defended with great determination. The hosts made very few chances in the game but they scored, which Marseille failed to do so.
"We face a side which defended well; we had a lot of possession but the most important thing was to succeed in converting our chances into goals - something we weren't able to do. Troyes had two chances, hit the bar once and scored a goal.”

“It's doubly frustrating not to have made the most of our dominance but also to have lost André-Pierre Gignac, who broke a toe in his left foot.”
However, the coach has stressed that Marseille will not let this defeat hurt them and is optimistic about his side’s chances this season. Baup has urged his players to remain calm and win their upcoming games.
“But this defeat won't break our rhythm; we just need to stay concentrated on our attacking quality, to make sure it doesn't happen again."
