third in the league but the club boss is not much worried by that.
Coach, Elie Baup stated that Marseille are in great position going into the winter breaks and given Les Phoceens’ position in the league last season, not many were expecting OM to perform this well.
While talking to reporters, the 57-year-old stated that that the initial objective of the nine-time champions of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 is to finish in the top five at the end of the season. The boss feels that at the moment, things are going great for his side but the
need is to continue working hard as there is still a lot of room for improvement.
“The initial objective is to finish in the top five, we have to do that. There's still work to do, but we'll do all we can to improve.”
Elie Baup added that Marseille are very ambitious about their objectives but not winning the Championelle would not be a failure for his side. On the other hand, if Paris Saint-Germain fail to clinch the Ligue 1 title, they will be crucified by the owners
and the fans.
“The club is ambitious, but there's not a lot of difference between winning and losing. When you see PSG's squad, it would be a major failure on their part if they're not champions.”
Meanwhile, Saint-Etienne coach, Christophe Galtier is eying couple of signing in the upcoming transfer window but has admitted that it won’t be easy.
“We're working on it. We have to move quickly. I hope we'll find players who want to come, and who can add something to the team. The ideal thing would be to have one or two players, but it won't be easy."
