Elite XC Ref for the Kimbo V Thompson Fight?

He was the a*****e who made the early stoppage just so kimbo could win... I was really speechless after this fight. Terrible officiating

alright first of all that **** was funny as h**l cause when the ref stopped it he was like "what happened why did you stop it" and his eyes were crooked and he couldn't see where kimbo was ROFLMAO.  And second his ****** keloid  had exploded and kimbo was going to hit him there again.  Third he punched him waaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyy more than once and all of them were very very very hard.  so u ask ur self again was the ref an a*****e or a blessing for James Thompson.

If you watched the replay, you could see that Thompson was rocked after Ferguson popped the cauliflower ear. It distracted Thompson for just a second, Ferguson moved in and dropped SIX straight punches to the jaw, Thompson went glass-eyed, he was KOed.

I agree, Ferguson escaped with a win, just barely, but he did it on his own, you can't blame the ref, Ferguson finished the job.

Disagree with me if you want - but go watch the replay again. SIX undefended, unanswered shots straight to the jaw. Thompson was DONE, he collapsed against the cage, his hands were down and in no position to defend himself. I will agree, HAD THAT NOT HAPPENED, Thompson was clear on his way to winning the fight, he won both rounds unanimous, Ferguson needed a miracle and he just happened to find it with a well-placed right.

As for Ferguson not defending himself in Round 2, Thompson had Ferguson's right hand pinned down with his knee and the left arm tied up and against the age. There was NOTHING that Ferguson could do to defend himself with his hands, however he was trying to work his body to escape, That's why the referee didn't stop it or make them stand up.

Kimbo popped Thompsons ear Bubble. Which staggered and Ko'd Thompson. Its not the refs fault. Thompson even took a swing at the ref. That proves Thompson was out of it. And didn't know where he was.

After taking NUMEROUS unanswered short punches and elbows to the head and the Ref threatening to stand the fight up to JT taking a couple of big shots but looking just like he did in the early part of the second, I have some HUGE questions about how legit this was.  Shaw was in the cage in between the second and third talking to the Ref.  I dunno man, **** seems very sketchy to me.  Thompson had enough presence of mind to slap the ref in the face for stopping it immediately after wards..  JT got wobbled a few times in that fight but was always punching back or trying for some half assed takedowns but he was fighting and defending himself. Really haggard fight night from them.

It wasn't just the Slice fight.  Every fight was stopped like it was two 12 year old school girls fighting in the parking lot.   Kimbo was ready to put him away though.

Kimbo won it. Barely. James was reeling with some prior injury. It is al a god d**n joke any way. Kimbo would not stand a frigging chance against an experienced fighter.

Tell me the ref. was not instructed to find an opportunity to help Kimbo win. Why didn't he stop the fight when Kimbo was taking elbows to the face. They should of had the girls be the main fight.

first off, I will agree that the officiating was S****y.. now that being said,  i'm sure the fact the it was televised on cbs played a role in many of the premature stoppages. Aside from that, the Kimbo fight was pretty badass. I'm glad the ref didn't stop it when Thompson was on top towards the end of the second cuz there was absolutely no power behind his punches or elbows. Kimbo was merely pinned. Thompson was doing little or no damage. In the 3rd the ref shoulda let Kimbo throw a few more haymakers b4 stopping it. Thompson was done but he shoulda let him get knocked out properly.

Thompsons fault for not having his own ear drained.....but  i read this about the   Cauliflower ear...     When fluid collection in the outer ear occurs, it is important to contact a doctor immediately and have it treated...

anyone watching the fight could see thompsons huge  Cauliflower ear it looked like it was gonna  pop like a ballon from all the fluid in it.....ur suposed to have it drained after a fight by a doctor ....but most of the mma guys just leave it as is ....when you dont have it  drained and treated thats how you end with with those deformed ears called the Cauliflower ear ~!    But yeah that was totally thompsons own fault...

alotta the fights on the elite xc card were stoped to early and to tell you the truth the elite xc show didnt feel like mma to me.......the best match on the card was Robbie Lawler vs Scott Smith ...and the crowd was booing them because they didnt wanna see kicks and knees they just wanted a boxing match.....which is screwed up in its self to boo fighters giving there all........and hwen someone went to the ground the ref would pull them back up pretty quick..........buncha things baout the event i did not like........the womans bout was pretty good they beat the tar out of each other....

and kimbo slice is elite xc golden boy the flag ship...and that hsip almost sank ...cause kimbo came close to being tapped and thompson almost had him with those elbows to kimbos face before the buzzer went off....the ref was stoping matches quickly why didnt he stop the match when kimbo was being elbow'd like crazy by thompson i think it was to give kimbo a chance to win so a little unfair there on elite xc's part.....

after the match kimbo falls down on his back in the middle of the ring exhausted........I was thinking kimbos weight may have played apart from all of hus mucle bulk..but i looked up his weight at sherdog.com  and kimbo only currently weighs 235lbs. so its simple kimbo hasent been training as hard as he'd like to make people think he has...i also watched a video on youtube where he said he was fighting for the money and thats it...a true champion/ fighter fights for the love of the game its in his heart,blood,sweat and soul...so with his comment of only for money he ownt make it ..look aqt 80s tyson who did it for love of the game..then look at the tyson getn knocked out by everybody when he did it just for money........

kimbo better start taking this seriously or he will find himself

That was a horrible call.

Granted, yes Thompson was dazed and could've been knocked out.

But he almost was before also and no stoppage.

He wasn't even falling, just wobbling.

I agree.  I took a look at the second round when the ref stood them back up for no action and i thought that was a BS call - Thompson rained down some punches and was trying to get a better position and the ref asked them to stand back up.  Elite XC is garbage and having Kimbo lose on their CBS debut probably wasnt an option so why not have a referee tip the scale

Thompson still had his hands up! Granted they were low. He was no were close to "a ko'd" Thompson. Thompson should have won this fight, no problem. That was one the worst calls I've ever seen.

The strike at ref was d**n unprofessional, but it was a slap and a push. He knew what he was doing, and should be docked $ from his purse. It in no way proves he didn't know were he was at.

Not just this fight either, but d**n 3/5 of the fights!

the fight should of been stoped in the 2nd Kinbo took 19 unanswered blows to the head and no stopage but as soon as Kimbo lands a shot that rocked him boom over they are hyping him as a star that c**p was like watching WWE complete B.S.

Yeah they called'em all too early but I enjoyed watching Gina Carano fight.

Kimbo has a long way to go like he said but I also think if he put all he had into training he could do alright but thats my opinion.

Yep, I was terribly disappointed as well. Thompson took some shots just as hard in round 2 and recovered. He let Kimbo get saved by the bell in round 2 and then stops it in 3 in his favor. Ridiculous. This ref is TERRIBLE. Actually the whole Elite XC production was BS. They can't let their poster boy Kimbo lose a fight! Elite XC, get some new Dr.'s and some new refs.

That Kimbo Slice sucked big time tonight. I've expected more out of his fight. The refferee stopped the fight and saved Kimbo out of shame. Any strong fighter out of UFC or Pride would submit  Kimbo.

That was the most terrible fight I've recently seen. These fighters should stay out of professional sport. They both suck.

I am very sorry for people who paid to watch this circus.
