Elizabeth Coffee expected to shine in Racinguk.com Claiming Stakes
Elizabeth Coffee is expected to prevail in the Racinguk.com Claiming Stakes at Catterick in England on Wednesday, July 18, 2012. A cash prize of £2,045 has been set for the winner of the class-6 event.
Stamina will be crucial in the 1 mile, 3 furlong and 214 yard race, which is scheduled to start at 15:40 GMT. A total of nine runners have been attracted towards the event, but the best chances of victory appear to be with Elizabeth Coffee, as she is carrying
the winning momentum right now.
The four-year-old filly will definitely enjoy the track conditions at Catterick, thus the bettors will be encouraged to risk money on her. She might be very young right now, but does have some useful experience and has delivered under pressure situations
in the past.
Elizabeth Coffee debuted in November 2010 and was priced 50 to 1 for her first ever outing. She was not expected to fight at the front and there were no surprises at the end of the day, as she finished 10th overall.
She took part in one more race that year and was unable to deliver a decent result in that too. Things kept on moving in the same direction for her over the first few events of the 2011 season.
The Ian Williams’ trainee went without a victory in her first seven events and she even failed to make it to the top three once. This was very much disappointing for her team, but their hard work finally paid off in the end.
Byron’s daughter out of Queens Wharf brought up her maiden victory in September 2011 at Clonmel. She was not rated as the favourite to win back then, as the bookies had priced her 20 to 1. Despite that, she surprised one and all and triumphed by half a length.
The victory gave a lot of confidence to Elizabeth Coffee and she started delivering good results with consistency. Her form in the ongoing season has also been pretty much impressive and she was victorious in her most recent outing. She was rated as the
favourite back then and did not disappoint her fans.
A similar run would definitely help her secure another victory in her career under jockey, Graham Lee.
