she's only 15 and she's playing in the olympics??? i thought that the age limit was 16? they even put 16 on her profile in yahoo. america is even complaining with the athletes of china for being underage when in fact their athletes are also the same.

her birthday is August 18, 1992

She will be 16 in the Olympic year meaning she will turn 16 this year so she is able to participate. There's an age limit for all the sports? I thought just certain ones?

My friend, the rules in swimming are different to the rule in gymnastics. Each governing body set their on rules.

You may want check the websites of both FINA and IFG, which are both the governing bodies for both swimming and gymnastics.
