Elizabethtown, PA. How to not be bored?

What are some wonderfully fascinating, extraordinarily fun-filled things to do in and AROUND (within an hour) of the Elizabethtown, PA area.... BESIDES Hershey attractions - asks a bored, first year, Etown College student.

Elizabeth town sounds like a town filled with old people. I suggest you venture out of there with some friends.

Ooh, come on over to Carlisle and check it out!  It is historic, pretty, and cultural.

Harrisburg has a ton of things to do over weekends.

Just give it a few more weeks... South Central PA LOVES Halloween, and soon you'll see lots of ads for haunted hayrides, barns and mansions.  I always had fun with a group at them.

Throughout the year...

-Large malls in Lancaster ("manchester mall") and York ("Galleria") - both along highway 30

-York also has the Harley Davidson Factory, which offers free tours during the week

-Harrisburg has a fun little downtown area, though if you're not 21 it's probably not worth the trip

In short, being a college frosh is tough at first, but if you find a decent group of friends, then it doesn't really matter what you do.

Besides, you're gonna be busy studying, right?! :)
