Belgium’s Elke Biesbrouck delivered a phenomenal performance and stamped her supremacy over Olga Nadtochiy of Ukraine in Women’s Singles battle at European Club Championships 2012 in Hungary, on Wednesday, May 30.
The impressive Belgian lady showed her class as she employed her superb craft to tame her Ukrainian opponent and remained successful in bagging victory without losing any set.
Elke was in full control of rallies as she played with precision in the entire competition and did not get nervous at any stage which helped her to remain ahead of Olga throughout the match and she won it with a superb margin.
On the other hand, Olga tried her best to create pressure on her rival while employing variations in her shots but failed to shake the confidence of Elke and lost the battle in 23 minutes without winning any game.
The first set started in a fast and positive way as both ladies injected power in their shots and also moved around in the court with incredible speed.
Both tried their best to take a comfortable advantage on the score board in the opening half but no one could manage it as they remained quite close until the mid-game interval.
After the break, Elke became quicker and started to hit the bird with impressive power. She executed smashes and remained successful in pushing her rival to a defensive position.
Elke continued her attacking play in the court and remained successful in taking the opening set with a five-point margin of 21-16.
In the following set, the Belgian shuttler continued impressing the local crowd by playing at the same speed and took an early lead without facing any resistance from her Ukrainian challenger.
Until the mid-game interval, Olga remained struggling in the court and was far behind on the score board.
After the break, the in-form Elke did not let her rival to slow down the pace of rallies as she continued playing with impressive speed and bagged the second set with a thrashing margin of 21-11.
The impressive Elke won this Women’s Singles battle in an emphatic fashion by an amazing 21-16 and 21-11 margin on the board.
