  1. It depends on the level you set your elliptical machine to, and how hard you are going to run. These variables can determine how much exercise you will do and how much you will gain from it. Running is a high impact exercise so elliptical can be better on your joints... :)


  2. fresh air is always better but the elliptical machines are lower impact and better for your joints in the long run.

  3. why run inside when u can run outside, find a sloped area in your  community and build stamina running up it make it fun run to different locations don't just buy an elliptical and run in the same spot everyday

  4. I've never used the trainer, but I would bet that running outside would be much harder and would build more stamina.   Both of them are forms of exercise, and that's all that matters.

  5. Running outside without a doubt. It is very hard on your knees, however. If you have any knee or joint problems, I do NOT suggest running outdoors.

    You can test it yourself buy purchasing a heart rate monitor.  It's much easier to keep your heart rate in its target zone while running outside which will, in turn, burn more calories.
