Elmer Fudd dominant in the Owners’ Bonus Series – Heat 2 at Peterborough on 16th May
The Grade A2 Owners’ Bonus Series – Heat 2 will be held at Peterborough over 420 metres flat on Wednesday, 16th May. Taking part in the race are Jazz Apple Blue, Anna Cabanna, Glen To Glen, Shreyas Trojan, Zinas Tina and Elmer Fudd. The prize money set for the race is £83.
The most promising entry for the race is Elmer Fudd, Royal Impact’s three-year-old black and white son out of b***h, Droopys Olive.
He rolled into the new season on 6th January in a Grade A3 420 metres flat at Peterborough. He could not win the race and finished third after racing for 25.86 seconds.
The race was won by the 13/8 favourite of the race, Bua Fear Manach, who timed the track distance in 25.60 seconds. The quickest to follow the winner was Coolboy Running.
The next two races of his career were back to back wins.
Elmer Fudd won a Grade A3 420 metres flat at Peterborough on 28th January by completing the trip in 26.00 seconds. He led the runner up of the race, Pride Of Jura, by 4 ¾ lengths.
The 5/4 favourite of the race, Broughton Tux, ended third.
He then concluded a Grade A2 420 metres flat at Peterborough in 26.10 seconds on 8th February. Fame finished the closest while the 6/4 favourite of the race, Bang The Gate, ended fourth.
He failed to strike a hat trick but won the Grade A2 The Boongate Kia Stakes on 7th March at Peterborough over 420 metres. Elmer Fudd timed the distance in 25.98 seconds.
The 2/1 favourite of the race, Varra Kate, ended fifth.
On 28th April, Elmer Fudd was the 11/10 favourite of a Grade A3 420 metres flat after reaching the other end of the wire in 26.15 seconds. He led the runner up, Million Billion, by three lengths as he covered the track in 26.39 seconds.
His most recent win was in the Grade A2 The John Ford Big 70 Stakes on 11th May at Peterborough over 420 metres flat. The 5/4 favourite winner clocked the track distance in 26.13 seconds and led by a length.
His consistency through the last few races promises success tonight.
