10 points for best explanation....im not saying you have to say els or ogilvy..thats who i am stuck between....and really unsure on who to take......saturday i thought ogilvy, then i saw ogilvy blow up this week at bridgestone(els didnt do much better), so i switched to els....now i thought since ogilvy is off, he may practice more??? im just so confused about the two....if you can steer me elsewhere then go for it......10 points for best reasonable expanation.......im sure someone else will win, but i am cut between those 2...and unsure of the below on who to take

Im in a golf pool where you pick a golfer every week, BUT you can ONLY TAKE THEM ONCE throughout the season......this seems to be the time of the season where mostly everyone has used all of the superstars (pretty much like i did)

I understand Mickelson, Furyk, Harrington, Garcia, Kim, Scott, Perry, Cink, Goosen, Stenson etc.....are not here because i already used them during the season

who do you like to do the best out of the people below???

Ernie Els

Geoff Ogilvy

Lee Westwood

Justin Rose

KJ Choi

Ian Poulter

Robert Karlsson

Andres Romero

Trevor Immelman

Justin Leonard

Miguel A Jimenez

Angel Cabrera

Tim Clark

Boo Weekley

Rocco Mediate

Brandt Snedeker

  1. My Pick is Philly Phil, he's been puttin in a TON of practice over the last two weeks.  Not to mention, his short game will come in VERY handy this week, you absolutely HAVE to be close to the pin to succeed on the South at Oakland Hills.  These greens are like putting on your car hood.

Off of that list I pick Choi or Poulter, although Poulter doesn't seem to have the killer instinct.

My dark horses are Snedeker and Mahan.  Mahan played (and lost in the final 36) the US Amateur at Oakland Hills, so he's got a little recent golf course experience.

  2. I think geoff  ogilvy had the best shot this week has has a swing to die for  smooth and in tempo hits the long ball in the fairway a vast majority of the time has a remarkable iron game, he has a decent short game and can putt fantasticly he is a full rounded golfer and has won the PGA b4 rcently and is primed this year he has taken some time off to prepare watch out!

  3. Out of the names below i like Boo. But VJ played really well so did stuart appleby so i think they will do well. Phil will do good until the final stretch and hit it in the trees

  4. I wouldn't count on either of them to fair well.  Lee Westwood has played the most consistent golf this year out of anyone, and is destined to win.  Els can't get the putter working, and Ogilvy is not consistent at all.

  5. Jimenez, Snedeker and Choi I like on that list.

Westwood is playing great golf, but his short game is quite bad.

Vijay is hitting the ball great.  He should have won the WGC by 7-8 strokes.  Since he is not on your list, I think the favorite is Jimenez.

  6. I think Ogilvy has a very good chance at the PGA championship because he has very good basics.  While Geoff Ogilvy is know Tiger Woods in the way of flash and show he has a very solid game.  He is one of those players that you never see do anything mentally wrong, he always plays the highest percentage shots and is always near the lead.  I think he has a very good shot.

Ernie Els is also a very good golfer and I think right now he has something to prove.  He hasn't one a major tournament in awhile and I can tell that he really wants it.  I love watching Ernie Els because everything about him is solid, he is one of the best ball strikers this game has ever seen and he really is an amazing putter.  He is one player that when you see them over a 12 footer that you know he is going to drain it.

I think the PGA championship will be very exciting!
