Elusive Ridge ready to thrive at Dundalk – Hibernia Steel Ltd.Race Preview
Perpetuating his recently-gained purple patch, Elusive Ridge, the H Rogers-trained black gelding, is expected to show an exclusive run today, March 2 at Dundalk racecourse and notch up his fourth straight victory in Hibernia Steel Ltd.Race which is set to
start at 7:50 (GMT).
The €8,625 contest of 1m Standard distance is supposed to be a high-voltage event.
Elusive Ridge will fight against five rivals including Moran Gra, Duff, Miranda’s Girl, Banna Boirche and Vivacious Vivienne.
The reason why Elusive Ridge stands above all is a fabulous hat-trick which he achieved during December 2011 at the same track where he will run today.
This splendid success streak seems to have hiked his confidence to a great extent, and the dashing runner is likely to capitalise well on this fresh form to thrive today.
As a whole, the six-year-old runner has won 7 out of his total 30 races so far coupled with earning £63,588 of prize money.
The Nap Racing Syndicate-owned gelding started his career in September 2009. His maiden triumph came in May 2010.
Elusive Ridge has been a consistent performer throughout his career. Now, all eyes are hinged on his today’s outing.
It is hoped that the brilliant horse will demonstrate an excellent performance and finish first in the coming contest.
Among Elusive Ridge’s competitors, there are two big names, Vivacious Vivienne and Duff, who can give somewhat tough time to him.
Vivacious Vivienne possesses outstanding track record. Since her debut in November 2008, Donal Kinsella’s black mare has run for 21 times to date, winning 5 big races.
On the other hand, Duff has 9 wins to his credit. The 53-race veteran runner has been in good for last six months. He is trained by Edward Lynam.
None of the remaining three runners contains enough talent and momentum. Thus, there will be witnessed a tough battle among Duff, Vivacious Vivienne and Elusive Ridge at Dundalk.
Victory is not going to be a smoothing sailing for Elusive Ridge. Let us get ready for the action. Good luck to all the runners.
