Emachine power supply?

I have an emachine W3105 and for some reason it all of a sudden will not power on, the power button is flashing a blue light. I unplugged the power for about 15 mins. then plugged it back in and to my surprise it booted. But as soon as I tried to reboot the same thing happened, nothing but the flashing blue light, but this time the system is randomly trying to reboot itself. I'm leaning towards the power supply on this one but would like some input.

  1. It can be some problem with the power supply/hard drive/motherboard i suggest you ask a computer specialist since no-one here will be able to specifically figure out the problem without a first-hand view of the machine.

  2. If you can boot up your computer and it does not randomly turn off without you telling it to, then it is not your power supply.

If you are able to boot it up, then go to into windows and right click on the desktop. Select Properties -> Screen Saver Tab -> Power Settings. If the Standby or Hibernate options are enabled, disable them and see if you still have the same problem.
