  1. they used to be the 3rd best computer i had 2 with no problems

  2. They're cheap and are reliable as any other computer. If you want to upgrade them with a new video card you'll usually have to buy a new power supply as well. One of the reasons the prices are so low them is because they use the weakest and least expensive power supply possible to get the system to run correctly as is.

  3. I just bought a Fire Machines computer a month ago. It seems to work pretty well, but their customer service is what I like the best since their a  smaller company.

Emachines is alright, but like a previous user stated they don't make them like they used to.

  4. Pre-Acer buyout ones were of good quality, though usually somewhat underpowered for anything other than general computer usage. I wouldn't buy one of the new ones, though.

  5. Well have one that i'm on at the moment ;)!,..and i think they are not bad for Budget PC's.

    Here's mine>http://uk.emachines.com/support/product_...

Great starters for a Child's Bedroom or for a Senior Citizen to do some basic Web Browsing and a bit of Housekeeping.

They are built quite well,..and are definitely allot better than "Acer"and  "Advent" Model's as they brake down as soon as you get them home Lol! ;)

I've had my PC for three years now,..and it's still going strong,..just! ;)

It has allot of stuff on it,..for a 120gb Hardrive so i can't complain if it has a few problems now and then.

I'm gonna get a new one soon>http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/pa...  as it will be able to handle more of what i have got on my PC and much more.

I'll miss this EMachine Model though,. as it's seen me through quite allot and it's still working! ;)

So if you are thinking of getting one,..don't hesitate,..they are very good,..a great first time PC for anyone ;)

  6. I just bought a second one a couple months ago...my 1st one died after 6 years of near-constant use.

You can sometimes find them with windows XP on them, but hurry--Vista will soon take over 100%.
