would the state give some sort of financial support? I read about an organization that does but I forgot the name.

How long will the emancipation process take?

Cost?

Who would pay the court fees my Mom or I?

How do I increase my chances of emancipation?

  1. No, the state will not provide financial support.  A judge will not emancipate a minor unless the minor can prove that they have a job and earn enough to fully support themselves.  That means paying for rent, utilities, food, medical expenses, etc.  That does not mean moving in with someone else and depending on them to pay part of the bills.  Nor does it mean depending on the taxpayers to help pay the bills. You have to be able to do it all on your own.

What's your reason why emancipation would be in your best interest?  You need a darn good one.

  2. Your going to have to prove your parents are hideously unfit.
