Emancipation laws in Florida ?

My friend wants to be emancipated. She's 17 years old what does she need to do? She lives in Sarasota thanks for your help.

She may as well not bother.  She'll be 18 before she's ever granted emancipation.  It's costly and a very long process.

If she would have filed a few years ago, she would have needed a good reason for doing so.  Getting smacked on the mouth for talking back isn't a good enough reason.
