Emancipation???????????

Question

Who knows how i can get emancipated or who

knows who i can talk to?

i will be 16 january 4th if that helps any and my

mom is legally mentally

retarded and we live with my grandma.My grandmas

boyfriend

just moved in with us.We just moved out of the town

i have lived most my life in and they wont ever let me go

there even if a friend offers

to drive me there.They dont let my friends come over either It's 30 minutes away by the way.I just

want to know how i can get emancipated,what age and

everything or can you tell me who i can talk to about this.

is it any easier to get emancipated if one of my friends

parents said i can move in with them??

i live in Oklahoma, united States and my mom is

just a stay at home mom and she acts like I'm a bad

child or something but i'm still a virgin and plan on staying

like that

till i graduate cause i know poeple who regret it and i have

never done drugs or anything and my mom still dont trust

me and my grandmas the one that works and they always

complain about not having enough money.

You can talk to the courts, but you first have to have a place to go before they will emancipate you.

emancipation is basically a myth.  You need to have a steady income and be able to live independently, most states do not have emancipation laws, mostly the law exists for child actors it is also known as the Coogan law, for child actor turned child advocate Jackie Coogan who played uncle fester on the adams family.  He was the first child to earn a million dollars, his parents stole it all and that was in the 1920's when one million was unbelievable amount of money.
