The Old Lady attacking-midfielder maintains that his team would continue their great form to the season, and not worried about AC Milan.
Juventus have been in brilliant form all season, having stayed unbeaten in all competitions thus far.
The strength and depth of the Juventus side was further amplified by their recent Coppa Italia victory against AC Milan. Antonio Conte made wholesale changes to his team but despite that, they produced an outstanding display to
stun the Rossoneri.
The Turin giants have had a couple of matches rescheduled due to inclement weather in the peninsula. Juventus’ unbeaten run will be put to the ultimate test in March, as they have to play six Serie A matches and the second-leg
of the Italian Cup semi-final in the month.
Conte has been successful in motivating his squad to perform to the best of their abilities, a fact which was demonstrated with the win over the Rossoneri in recent Coppa Italia first-leg away victory.
Emanuele Giaccherini was talking to Sky Sport Italia about the rescheduled fixture list, he remarked,
“We are facing a real tour de force, but we are ready. The Coach is good at rotating his players and he has drummed the same mentality into everyone here.”
The 26-year-old believes that Juve have great quality in their squad, and it has been effectively rotated by Conte. Therefore, he feels that facing a hectic schedule would not be an uphill task for them.
The postponement of Juve’s most recent game against Bologna has seen Milan climb to the top of the table. However, Giaccherini is not worried by Milan’s progress and believes that his team will dethrone them from the top spot.
“However, this mustn’t interest us. I look at what we’re doing – it doesn’t interest me how the others are getting on.”
The Old Lady will play the rescheduled game of the matchday 21 against Parma on Wednesday, 15 February 2012. La Vecchia Signora have picked up 45 points from 21 matches played so far.
