Embalming solution?

I was wondering (and i know its kind of weird) what color is typical embalming solution and what would it bew stored in?

Answerer number 1 is correct, most embalming fluid is a variation of pink or red.  Embalming fluid does come in other colors. Embalming fluid use to be stored in glass bottles, but now it is stored in plastic bottles.

Embalming fluid is usually comprised of formaldehyde, methanol, and ethanol.  Since all the ingredients are clear I would think the resulting mixture is relatively clear but I just read that dyes are added to give the body some of it's natural color back...
