Well, last year around January-ish i got my period, and it was my first one and i was really nervous and scared (i was in the 7th grade) and on the second day i had a pad in my pocket and walked aroung the classroom not knowing that it was showing... until my best friend told me. i was really embarrased.

and the other day i was sitting in a car for about 8 hours (family roadtrip) and i had my period and it just leaked thru my pants and i walked around the gas station not knowing (i had pads in the car but when i went to the bathroom i forgot about it and so i was gonna change at the mcdonalds across from the gas station...) and it was embarrasing.

can someone give me tips on how to hide and make sure i don't have any leaks for the new school year?!

  1. try carring around a purse when your not in school. but when you are just put some in your backpack where people wont see them when opening your back pack. like in a folder you dont use or somthing

  2. Get the longer always and over night pads---they feel like a diaper kind of, but it's much better than being embarrassed!!!!!!!!!!!  A tampom on heavy days are useless!!!!!!!!!!  Also, take a panty liner and wrap in in the front around and the back...it should cover you no matter how you shift.  Also, check a lot!!!!!!

  3. keep them in a cosmetic bag that isn't see through! why would you put them in a pocket in the first place?

    :)

  4. well you obviously went to long without changing your pad.

just dont go that long again and you can wear darker jeans or whatever when your on your period and it will be less noticeable.

and sometimes if i think i bled through then i just ask one of my good friends to see if i have a red spot. yeah its a little weird but im really close with some of my friends so its fine..

    i hope i helped.

    and good luck with school.

  5. i would say, keep track of about the time you are going to start your period so that you are aware of when you may start. around that time, in your purse, carry extra underwear just incase and also bring your pads with you. this way you know when you will start. but since your a girl, i would say always carry a pad in your purse just incase. sometimes periods come unexpectidly. well i hope this helps! :)

  6. i don't use pads and that is one of the reasons.  tampons are so much easier especially in school and stuff.  i think you should def. switch to tampons.  they aren't scary and they don't hurt!

  7. TAMPONS!!!

They are the best ever! You can leave them in for usually up to 8 hours a day, that way you shouldn't have to change them at school.

But if you don't want to use tampons, I would suggest to put on a pad right before you should start your period. That way, if it starts up, you won't be caught in a mess. Also, check in the mirror before you leave the bathroom, to see if your pad or anything is noticeable, then you can fix it if it is.

  8. You shouldnt worry at all...every girl gets a leak once in there life its all part of being a women. from my experience i have had a leak and i felt the same way that your feeling right now...usually everyone forgets that you even have your period...cuz seriously it isnt a big deal. I would reccomend you to switch to tampons so you wont have as much leaks...with tampons you can't even feel anything.

  9. You should carry a little purse with you when you go places so that it wont show and you'll be holding a purse....and when your at school why not just keep it in your back pack? no body can see it like that...

  10. Well sweetie, welcome to womanhood!  We have all been there!

Leaks can occur with pads and with tampons, so switching to tampons will not guarantee you no leaks.  The best thing to do is carry extras of whatever you use and just check yourself often.

You will soon get to know what is normal for you and how often you generally need to change.  It gets easier to manage as you get to know your body and your cycle.

Wearing dark pants gives you a little "insurance" also.  You will soon have this under control.  Once you get "embarrassed" you generally don't forget next time!

  11. always have an extra pair of black pants in your locker!

carry in the front zipper of your back pack, and extra pad.

in your purse, carry tampons and use those when you can, even with the tampons, until you learn when they are full, always wear a panty liner so there is no leaks

do not got 8 hours without changing your bad, they can start to smell, and it isnt good to wear a full pad all day because it harbors bacteria.

change your pad more often, and always ask a friend if your "clear" (they bascially just check your butt to see if any leaks went through, it saves you time from running to the bathroom every period!)

  12. I would definitely keep track on the week you are having it and wear dark color clothing. Always keep some pads or kotex on you that week.
