  1. Marbles is not good... a sign of impaction, even.

The suggestions to eat more fiber, occasionally take some Milk of Magnesia or other laxative, and sitting just a little longer are all good thoughts.  The bottom line is the p**p has to come out, one way or another.

The way we clear impaction in the hospital is to put a glove on our dominant hand, and stick the middle finger into the patent's r****m as far as we can.  We then try to catch the marbles and ping-pong balls and pull them out.  Doing this is by far ickier than discussing laxatives, fiber, and fluid intake.  Also a bit less than pleasant for the patient for whom we nurses perform this service.

Do not let yourself get impacted.

It will take some time for the stretching that might make you look a little pregnant to go down.  That could also be gas, so it may go down faster.

You might consider going to the toilet and sitting on it on a regular basis, whether you feel the urge or not.  Sitting while waiting for the shower to warm up sometimes is good, or maybe just sitting and reading a few pages in a magazine.  Don't over-do that, though, because sitting on the toilet for hours at a time might make hemorrhoids appear.  Then again, those might be caused when one strains trying to get the p**p out because of eating too little fiber.

If things are not moving well inside you, maybe looking up a yoga class might help.  Yoga has some asanas (positions and movement sets or groups) that help get the digestion to move normally.

As to why this is happening --- who knows?  There are many causes of this kind of thing.  You might be eating too much meat and not enough vegetables.  You might be dehydrated from not drinking enough water or drinking too much caffeinated carbonated drinks (that's my own personal downfall).  Caffeine is a diuretic, meaning that if you drink a 12 ounce can of coke, you will need 14 ounces of water to process it, resulting in a net loss of 2 ounces of water.  That may not sound like much, but in the totality of the body, it can mean quite a bit.  You might be too worried about having to go pee too often and not drinking, or about your weight, or tests, or something. Many things can interfere with the 'p**p-urge'.

If eating a healthy diet and drinking enough water does not solve the problem, go see a doctor.  If the doctor doesn't tell you something that works for you, find a different doctor.  Check in the student health office to see if they have ideas or contacts.  The real bottom line is that this can be taken care of, but it will take some effort, some time, and some patience.

take good care of you.  You are, after all, the only you in existance.

  2. i think u need a doctor

    constipation tablets maybe

    LOOL

  3. you seem to suffer from constipation, it could happen because of the diet you have,It happens when you eat a lot of red meat, and not enough greens and liquids, you should get a second opinion, try to have a stool softener, and drink prune juice,  you can get them over the counter at your local pharmacy.

  4. First off see a doctor again and tell them the problem is continuing. I'd suggest having a glass of juice/water every morning mixed with some kind of powdered fiber supplement. You can get them at any super market/drug store. You could also try laxatives, but I wouldn't do that without recommendation from a doctor.

  5. it sounds like really bad constipation. my friend ended up in the hospital for this. i don't know if she takes any prescriptions for this, but i know she has to take a lot of fiber.

you could try fiber pills, or maybe even ex-lax. but i would definitely go to the doctor again.

  6. You might just be constipated, or need your colon cleansed.

Your doctor probably told you the most common cure, because vegetables like greens and beans help you go. But sometimes it takes a little more than that.

Get some "Milk of Magnesia" from the store, and make sure you take it only when your at home and have enough free time to make at least 2 trips to the bathroom to handle your business. Although the Milk of Magnesia may be a little harsher on your stomach than a regular laxative, it'll clean you out better the first time so it's smooth sailing from there.

Also, sometimes you may need to just sit there a little while longer than what you're doing and read a magazine. It may eventually come out.

If all else fails, take a trip to Taco Bell =P (but seriously, lol)

  7. You should see another doctor, it's not normal and sometimes just eating healthy and drinking water won't work and that should require a little more investigation, go to a gastroenterologist for better treatment and advice.

  8. It sounds like you are severely constipated. Add more fiber into your diet and drink plenty of water.

  9. I would definitely try some fiber it helps a lot. I started doing this a few months ago and it's helped me with a lot of digestive problems. Most people get it from salads but I don't eat those so much, other sources are granola bars or cereals be sure to check the nutrition facts!
