i have gotten admission into a community college in Penn State and through the effort of a lady i met online she gave me the necessary help and info i needed to get a studio apartment in Penn state.Fortunately or unfortunately i pened down the ladies contact number and address in my DS 156 i will need for the F-1 interview and am very scared i may be denied the F-1 on the basis that the womans address was written instead of the aprtment address i will be staying in Penn state.A collegue of mines F-1 was refused on the basis that she was going to attend a community college and so rented an aprtment she was going to live in,and so the officers idea was that the girl wanted to emigrate into the US.Am i safe writting the name and address of the informat who helped me secure the apartment? How disastrous can it be on the day of interviewing if the Officer ask about her name apperaing in the DS 156?What can i do to score it clean and honestly since the officer may not believe my situation?

  1. Hard to say how much of a problem this will be. Certainly, if the consular officer believes you really intend to just go live in the US with this lady, he will have to deny your application. Legally, nothing precludes you from living with her and attending class though. If the community college doesn't offer dorm space, you have to live somewhere. Be prepared to offer an explanation as to why this lady's address appears on your application form. Then be prepared for either outcome, up or down.
