  1. Wow an argument against it? Most people think it REQUIRES killing babies, but it uses currently unused fetuses from abortions, and the left overs AKA After birth from child birth to fun stem cell research. But people who are against abortion are against this. (That is what I though.)

Stem Cell research can help provide cures for several diseases today, and stem cells are just fresh cells that can be used as tissue cells, skin cells, any type of cell you need. So you could grow skin to help someone with burns, or grow organs for people who have life threatening diseases. Its a great thing I THINK.

  2. 1. Adult stem cells have cured over seventy different diseases. Embryonic stem cells have cured NOTHING thusfar. In fact, they have been detrimental, if anything. Some have caused tumors to grow that eventually kill the patient. They are more likely to be rejected by the patient, because you are bringing foreign tissue into the body.

    2. Scientists want to use embryonic stem cells because they are more maleable (can become the needed tissue more easily).

And that's the whole scenerio in a nutshell.

My very firm belief: Embryonic stem cell has gotten us nowhere while adult stem cells are curing diseases left and right. The whole practice should be tanked. Not only is human life being compromised, but people are suffering and dying from all kinds of serious illnesses while we waste time and money on embryonic stem cells. That's the sad part about it; there are people who COULD be cured more easily while we flounder around with a science that is getting us nowhere.
