i heard that Emerald Tree Boas need a lot of ventilation, would they be well suited in a flexarium or would a proper vivarium be better suited?

  1. i would go with the vivarium because you can control the temp and humidity better.

  2. No,Flexariums are not the best choice as its hard to maintain the humidity. But whatever you use you do need to make sure it has either a screen top or side or both.Remember one very important thing: emeralds need high humidity to stay healthy. It keeps their lungs from giving off too much moisture (just like humans) and reduces their chances of developing respiratory problems. But humidity must be cycled, that is, from high during the day to low at night. And the cage must have ventilation, to prevent the air from stagnating. One way to keep the humidity high during the day is to cover the screen top with a plastic sheet, which can be removed at night to allow the humidity level to drop.  At night, it dries nicely and I repeat the cycle the next morning.

  3. I'd go with the vivarium.

  4. Oh you are so lucky I miss my tree boa ( Thalia) so bad . They are Beautiful creatures. I would say a flexarium as well
