Question:

Emergency Fire Bellied Toad Food!?

I've run out of crickets and the frogs are not doing too good. They haven't been fed for more then 4 days and the pet store is closed. It was my brothers job to go and get the crickets, but with the pet store closed our only option is to try and find something that we have to at least keep them going for 1 night-because 1 is on the verge of starving-not really moving and everything. Do flys and worms work? Also is there any kind of processed meat we could give them? Just for 1 night? Thanks!

  1. go into the garden and dig up some worms as long as you have not  used any pesticides in your garden it will be safe, but you can feed flies and other bugs as well, for a cheap treat for next time get a jar and put in some meat or fruit, put it outside  for a day or two and the flies will lay eggs when you get maggots keep them in the jar and let them crystallize put them in your tank and in a few days the flies will hatch and give your toads a treat, but your garden is full of bugs to feed your toad so you have no excuse to not feed them when you run out of crickets a varied diet is a lot better than just feeding crickets

  2. Worms will work but they can go 1 week without food. Believe me they will be fine. Good Luck!

  3. Go dig up some bugs out of the backyard. There is no excuse for letting an animal go without food.

  4. worms might work-as long as there are no pesticides or even a chane of pesticides on them\

but they should be fine for another day

  5. You can feed them worms, spiders, flies.

  6. If there is no pesticides in your garden or something, get some earthworms or pillbugs
