  1. I would say threshold breaking, the point at which you just touch the brake, limits (eases?) the impact of a vehicle stability during emergency vehicle maneuvers.

    "Covering' the break certainly wouldn't, neither would increasing the accelerator, lightly or not.


  2. I' m not quite sure what the impact of vehicle stability is, but the amount of a vehicles stability during an emergency maneuver would be greatly decreased by threshold braking (not breaking). Threshold braking is basically defined as braking to the limits of traction to the road (just before skidding), and as such causes the front end of a vehicle to dive hard, and lose control of steering, and centrifugal weight shift of the vehicle, in a side to side, dodging type maneuver.
