The first wicket partnership yielded 77 runs in 16 overs until Kitchen was caught out by O’ Reilly on a delivery by http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Dale-Deeb-c1303. He scored 36 runs off 50 deliveries at a strike rate of 72.00.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Daniel-Flynn-c1309 was the next man out on the crease to face the South African bowling attack. After adding just 6 runs to the team’s total, Flynn was given lbw out on Dane Piedt’s delivery.
Piedt provided another big wicket to his team as highest scorer; Watling got caught out at his delivery. Watling contributed 53 runs off 77 deliveries and left his team at a total of 104 runs after losing 3 wickets.

Woodcock and Broom were the next two men to be dismissed by South African bowling attack. Dough Bracewell and the wicket-keeping captain Boorder were out on crease after the last dismissals and had huge responsibility to their shoulders.
They had to score and prevent the fall of further wickets but got caught out after a good show of 32 runs off 27 deliveries.
New Zealand A concluded its innings at 187 runs with all wickets down in 46.3 overs.

The first wicket partnership yielded 30 runs but then Levi got caught out at the hands of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Andrew-John-McKay-c44446 at Boult’s delivery. The skipper bashed a splendid innings of 26 runs off 14 deliveries at a strike rate of 185.71.
Smuts replaced the captain and partnered well with Hendricks. Together they scored 96 runs in 18.3 overs at a run rate of 5.18.
Hendricks got caught out at the hands of Kitchen in the 23rd over. The next man to follow Hendricks back to the pavilion was Smuts who had contributed 39 runs. This dismissal left the South African team at a total of 128 runs at the loss o 3 wickets.
Brownlie took the last two wickets of the day and sent back Pienaar and Bavuma at the scores of 20 and 30 respectively.
