The 3-Day fixture, featuring India Emerging Players and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Allan-Robert-Border-c43726 Field, Brisbane, on August 3, and came as part of the opening
3-Day match on the proceeding Emerging Players Tournament.
Initially, the game took off on August 1, 2011, at the Brisbane arena after South African skipper, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Stiaan-van-Zyl-c91407, won the toss and opted to bats first.
The team’s batting session came to a wrap up after losing all its players, despite aggregating a fair total of 259 runs.
As for the Indian response, the team kicked off its innings with a slight troubling start losing 2 quick wickets in the early moments of the bout. However, Day 1 was eventually ended with the Indians retaining their stumps at 27.
Indian skipper http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Manoj-Tiwary-c1890, the batters trailed into earning some fair runs for the team. Following a total play worth 63 overs, the Indian batting side finally wrapped up its innings at 269.

Eventually, the final day was brought to life with Hendricks and two down batsman http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Temba-Bavuma-c92965 resuming the session; Bavuma had come in to replace the retired skipper.
The pair went on to add some fair numbers to the total, however, failed to retain the partnership after Bavuma made an early return at minor 13 runs. Following the day’s opening wicket, the pitch was once again taken over by van Zyl and Hendricks. The pair
took on some much constructive batting display pouring in swift runs for the team.
South Africa Emerging players finally declared their innings in the 73rd over, securing an adequate total of 291 runs with a loss of 3 wickets. The team managed to post a competitive 282 runs target for the opposing Indian side.
Van Zyl’s loss came as the final wicket for the team. The skipper was declared out on a decent 128 runs while Hendricks too offered an impressive display with the bat, earning a solid 125 runs mark.
Taking on a competitive chase, the Indian side took off with opener Srikkanth Anirudha’s wicket in the 9th over of the final innings. A few more overs into the game, captain Dhawan also followed, resulting the side into reaching a 72 runs mark,
following a loss of 2 wickets.
However, the side was once again rescued as http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ajinkya-Rahane-c970 came out to bat. Though the player managed to hold on to his stumps, but trouble came for the batting side as it lost another two swift wickets in the 33rd and 40th overs.
With the session now entering the closing moments of the bout, with an additional two wickets earned, the South African bowlers failed to crumble the Indian batting roster, as a result of which the game was finally declared drawn.
