Emerging nations' sporting events will be discussed in December at Dubai
All the world leaders have planned that they will discuss the mega events of the emerging nations at the end of the current year.
This event will be staged for the first time in Dubai, from December 4 to 5, 2012. This event is assisted and approved by Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the renowned personality of the region.
In addition to being the Crown Prince of Dubai, Rashid Al Maktoum is also the Chairman of the Executive Council for Dubai Government and Chairman of Dubai Sports Council. He is interested to host the event in Dubai, so that the sports culture can be promoted
worldwide.
The main topic of the meeting will be related to the FIFA Football World Cup. It is expected that the venue for 2018 will be Russia, and Qatar 2022.
On the other hand, more emerging countries are expected to take part in the bid for the 2020 Olympic Games. The bid will take place in September 2013, and will be among Istanbul, Madrid, Tokyo, Doha and Azerbaijan.
The European Tour officials are also interested to include the Ryder Cup in the bid. The 2018 venue will to be finalised in Dubai.
“Dubai and the Gulf region have been key in the global growth and development of The European Tour from the inaugural Dubai Desert Classic in 1989 up to the present day with Dubai hosting the climax of the season-long Race to Dubai - the DP World Tour Championship
at Jumeirah Golf Estates - for the fourth consecutive season in November,” Richard Hills, Ryder Cup Director, said.
He added: “We are delighted to be involved and look forward to outlining The Ryder Cup 2018 bidding process and sharing our experiences with other sporting bodies”.
The 2012 Ryder Cup will be staged at the Medinah Country Club from September 25 to 28. The next venues will be also selected and the tournament will rotate among the European and American countries.
This bidding and gathering news is appealing for most of the nations. Those officials, who are willing to host mega events in their countries, can benefit from the meeting in December.
