Emerson 32 Flat screen tv?

Question

I purchased this tv at the starting of the year and for some reason now it dont wanna turn on, when i press the on button the screen comes on but blank and the green light underneath the screen starts flashing guessing its indicating it wants to start but something is stopping it or something is wrong? well can anyone help or tell me what can i do to stop it from doing this? and the tv also has an update plug where u plus some kind of device in to update it i guess but tv's dont get updates do they?

actually, tvs these days do get updates, for the firmware.  i do not have an emerson, but from what you are describing, it sounds like a power supply issue.  it's acting like it wants to start, but is not getting enough juice to fire up the panel.  unfortunately, i would check your warranty on this one as they will at least have to swap out the power supply.  this will be expensive.  i would not have gotten an emerson tv as they are pieces of c**p and have bad maintenance history.  it's always better to pay more for quality than to get something cheap and end up replacing it in a year.
