Emerson Microwave model #MW8992SB missing manual, help

Question

Can someone please tell me how to reset the microwave? We unplugged it for awhile and the timer is locked. Someone got happy with pushing too many buttons and now we can't get it to work. We lost the manual and hope we don't have to resort to buying a new one!!

Just call Emerson Customer Service and they'll tell you how to unlock it. Their number has to be on the Microwave somewhere. Look underneath it.

Its possible that the unit is child locked.Does lock appear on the display when you plug it in. If so the lock can usually be disabled by holding down the start button for a number of seconds until the word lock disappears. If none of the above is true then try setting the time first before anything else.
