I am currently in the united states of america, where i am a permanent resident (I have a green card) but not a citizen. I will be finishing my masters degree in May, and want to move to either france or germany. My bachelors and masters degrees are in chemical engineering, and I am fluent in both french and german, and am a native English speaker.

Do you know what the requirments are to move to france and or germany? Do you need work experience to move there permanently or can I get a visa to stay permanently with just a masters degree? Thanks

  1. Permission to reside permanently in France at least (I can't speak for Germany) is not a function of your educational level.

The unemployment rate in France is 7.5% and even this high rate is the lowest it has been in almost 25 years. The French government is not, therefore, anxious, to admit foreign workers.
