Emigrate to Perth Australia?

Love my Australian boyfriend, worried about finding work and feeling isolated? I'm excited about challenge and I know that he is the one I want to spend the rest of my life with. What preparations should I be making mentally for the move?

You won't have any trouble finding work. Perth is one of Australia's two boom cities and employers are crying out for good staff.

With regard to mental preparation - you haven't said where you're coming from, but be assured that Aussies are warm and friendly and will welcome anyone who comes with an open mind and a friendly smile. You have a huge advantage over most new arrivals in that you have a loving boyfriend to guide you through those first few months of strangeness. Isolation from family and old friends is not nearly the problem it used to be now that we have email and internet chat and everyone, everywhere is just a simple phone call away.
