Question:

Emigrating from Australia to America after uni?

There was a similar question posted by someone recently, but none of the answers given were really serious or remotely thorough, so I thought I'd ask. I plan to do uni here in Australia, but afterwards would like to emigrate to the United States. What is the best way to do that? The DV lottery is too slim a chance, so what options does that leave? And if I go with employment-based migration, how would you even go about that, where would you start if you have no contacts in the US?

There still is a bit until I get to that point, but I'm evaluating my goals and options in advance.

Thanks!

Oh, and PS: Please don't respond with political or socio-economic opinions you have or may have heard recently, nor do I really care to hear advice telling me to tunnel under the Rio Grande or swim the Niagara Falls. :)
