  1. With a huge stretch of the imagination - yes but there is a price to pay. You will live in fear of when you and/or your family become the next victims of the violent crime. You will need to live in a self imposed Prison with 12 feet high walls topped with electric/barbed wire, private security with the obligatory panic button, guard dogs and guns.Going out after dark is risky and so is just driving a car. Education is all but down the tubes after having been dumbed down to allow Africans to "pass" and Public Hospitals are an absolute disgrace from every point of view.

Its a short term future as most white South Africans are convinced it will be the next Zimbabwe.

  2. yes Im sure they could.

  3. yes you can...and so many have done before you.

  4. if you are still employable, it would make sense to rather move to (Western) Australia - much higher salaries, more job opportunities, better lifestyle, more freedom. If you are living on a fixed income, and don't mind living trapped at home/ in constant fear, South Africa is an option...

  5. Yes you can but remember your pounds are only going to last that long, so you have to get a job first and then come over.

  6. If you have mega bucks, then yes it's not a problem. If not, stay where you are!

  7. Do you honestly think that is a wise choice

  8. Emigration from South Africa is currently at an all time high so think twice about boarding a ship that so many are jumping from.

I agree find a job and come on a fixed term contract.

  9. If you have a trade/profession they want.  Only do short fixed contracts.  It's not a place to emigrate to.
