With around 30 top riders from around the globe converging to the Mottolino Swatch Snowpark for to compete in the 5Star Ticket to Rider (TTR) slopestyle event, the battle for top honours for expected to be nothing short of epic.
The slopestyle course at the primary event site offered the riders a number of features that they could utilise to convince the judges to give them good scores. These features included two jibbing elements, a “Burn Can” and “Burton Punching Ball,” the first
kicker which was 21-metre wide, a 19-metre step up and 9-metre gap and another 22-metre kicker.
The defending event champion Badertscher landed a really impressive run, which comprised of a hard-way 360 180 off followed by a Backside Air, Backside 1080, a Double Backside Rodeo 900 and capping the run with a Cab 1080. The run earned him a score of 92.00.

900 off the second kicker and a Front-side 900 off the final kicker. The sensational run earned him a score of 93.67 from the judges, consequently sealing the fate of the contest in his favour.
Tonteri brought diversity to what was turning out to be a Norwegian sweep of the podium by beating Staale Sandbech for the last remaining spot on the podium. The Finnish landed a Cab 180 180 off, Cab 360, Cab 1260, Front-side 720 before capping off his run

The top-10 riders from the slopestyle finals that went down on Wednesday automatically qualified for the 5Star BURN RIVER JUMP 2012, an event where the riders had to jump over the Spoel River while pulling off a trick to impress the judges, which was scheduled
to go down in Livigno on Thursday.
