Emilia Fahlin and Gustav Larsson wins time trial of 2011 Swedish Road Championships
HTC Highroad Women/Orebrocyklisterna team’s Emilia Fahlin won the time trial race of 2011 Swedish Road Championships in Solleroloppet on Wednesday, June 22.
The 22-year-old Swedish took a total of 43 minutes and 28 seconds to cover a short distance of 15 kilometres. Emma Johansson of Hitec Products - UCK/Härnösands Cykelklubb was the runner-up with 39 seconds behind Emilia.
Previously, Emilia won the Tour of California Women’s Criterium (Santa Rosa) and Swedish Road Cycling Championships, Elite time trial in 2009.
Sara Mustonen finished third with the difference of 1 minute and 38 seconds, while Malin Rydlund of Alriksson Go:Green/Cykelkl was in the fourth spot with a difference of 2 minutes and 19 seconds.
Kajsa Karlsson of Cykelklubben Cykelcity.se was in good form, but unable to maintain his pace and grabbed the 8th spot with a difference of 3 minutes and 37 seconds.
The two riders, Linda Fransson of the Oskarshamns Cykelklubb team and Tilina Levin of the Svanesunds Gymnastik o Idr team, were disqualified from the stage.
Jenny Rissveds of Falu Cykelklubb won the title of junior women with a timing of 23 minutes and 29 seconds ahead of Alexandra Nessmar (Friluftsklubben Trampen).
Gustav Larsson of Saxo Bank Sungard won the time trial of Swedish Road Championship with a timing of 1 hour and 54 seconds.
Thomas Löfkvist of the Sky Procycling team was in second spot with a difference of 1 minute and 24 seconds. Alexander Wetterhall of Endura Racing was in the third spot with a difference of 2 minutes and 27 seconds.
Previously, he won the 21st stage of Giro d’ltalia and overall Tour du Limousin. He also won the first stage of Vuelta a la Comunidad de Madrid in 2010.
Alexander Gingsjö (Nordic Eco - Vallentuna CK), Sebastian Balck (Team Cykelcity) and Joakim Åleheim (Borås Cykelamatörer) were in fourth, fifth and sixth places, respectively.
Lars Andersson of the Nordic Eco - Vallentuna CK team tried his best to gain a lead, but he failed to maintain his pace and took the 13th spot with 5 minutes and 57 seconds down to Lars.
Marcus Fåglum-Karlsson (Falköpings Cykelklubb) took the title of Junior Men with 41 minutes and 17 seconds, ahead of Ludwig Hallerod (Falköpings Cykelklubb).
