The former Fiorentina head coach went on to state his expectations of the Florence outfit and mentioned his opinions on the hype surrounding Stevan Jovetic.
Mondonico, former Novara manager, went on to comment on the chances of La Viola heading into the upcoming season and remarked his feeling that they have prepared extremely well for the upcoming season.
The appointment of Vincenzo Montella and Daniele Prade has instilled confidence in the Gigliati outfit as the two have combined to bring in some impressive signings along with renewed aspirations for the upcoming seasons.
The Artemio Franchi outfit have not performed as well as they are expected to, and given the abysmal season under Delio Rossi, Mondonico feels that the Viola fans can dream again. Despite selling players like http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003,
the club have reinforced with key signings, after giving opportunities to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alberto-Aquilani-c4313 to make their mark on the squad.
The new arrivals have breathed in new belief at the club that they will be able to reach the heights that they had promised to reach in the previous seasons. Their ability to keep hold of their top striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Stevan-Jovetic-c34163, has reaffirmed the belief of the
fans and Emiliano Mondonico that the club is on the right track.
However, the former Fiorentina boss went on to state that his former employers need to play to his strengths and remarked:
“Jovetic is a really important player for this Fiorentina. The club needs to get the best out of him by getting the right striker to play alongside him.”
However, there have also been rumours linking the Montenegrin forward to a move away from the Artemio Franchi, with heightened interest from the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786, Juventus and Manchester City.  To that situation, Mondonico stated:
“If the Viola decide to sell Jo-Jo for an important fee then they would be obliged to bring in two great players straight away – otherwise they would weaken the squad after a good summer of recruiting.”
Fiorentina have been hot on the heels of Manchester United striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Dimitar-Berbatov-c11254 and are keen to sign him before letting go of Jovetic.
