Emiliano Zapata and Porfirio Diaz?

what is significant about these two when placed together. i know they only met once and facts about the mexican revolution but what more is there?

Wrong section, try Mexico.  But fortunately, I can answer that.  Porfirio Diaz was the Mexican dictator just before the Mexican Revolution.  Because he wouldn't stand down and was particularly cruel to the Mexican poor and indigienous people, people wanted to boot him out.  There were many who opposed him and held personal crusades against the rich.  Emiliano Zapata was one of them.  Emiliano went first with Fransico Madero because Madero promised him equal rights, but when Madero became president, he reneged, and Emiliano rebelled against him.

    Portfirio Diaz was perhaps the ultimate hypocrite of Mexican history.  He was a war hero (the Reform war), but he hated war.  He was opposed to Benito Juarez, who was an anti-catholic and and offended Diaz by not acknowledging Diaz's accomplishments and successes.  Diaz reigned as Dictator for 34 years, before he was opposed.
