What does this mean? (itz an line from one of her poems)

"This was not judgment day, only morning.

Morning: excellent and fair"

Judgement day refers to the end of the world. Needless to say, a very serious event that is often associated with fire, brimstone, and damnation. Morning on the other hand, has only pleasant connotations of peace, renewal, and redemption. So Dickinson is contrasting the doom and gloom of "the final judgement" with the beauty of a new, fresh beginning.
