Adebayor has stated in his latest address to the press that Tottenham’s rise in the English Premier League table is due to the excellent team ethic in place at White Hart Lane rather than individual brilliance. The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429
striker was transferred to Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2011 from Manchester City as Harry Redknapp bolstered his team’s offensive department.
Since his arrival at White Hart Lane, the Togolese striker has not disappointed as he has settled in well and has done excellently to combine with other stars such as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gareth-Bale-c14422 and Rafael Van der Vaart. Tottenham
won their last Premier League game thanks to two goals by Adebayor as they sealed a two goal victory over Aston Villa last weekend.
Redknapp will hope that his team will keep up their wonderful run of form as Adebayor said in his latest interview, “It’s not all about scoring goals, it’s about what you put into the game – you have to defend for the team, run
for the team. I, Rafa [Van der Vaart], http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Aaron-Lennon-c3062, Gareth [Bale], we all work back; we all defend for the team. We tackle, run, defend and to play well and win, everyone needs to work for the team. We said beforehand that we wanted to make it easy for ourselves
against Villa.”
He added, “To do that we have to work hard, show character, defend as a team, attack as a team and we did that well. The result shows that. I don’t think we were under any real danger, they didn’t have many chances and we had a
lot. It couldn’t have gone much better.”
Adebayor will hope that he adds to his current goal scoring run for Tottenham by helping the team to another set of three points on weekend but that is easier said than done. Tottenham will need to keep up their form if they are
to finish in the top four section of the Premier League table considering the amount of competition in the top half of the Premier League.
