Arsenal’s Emmanuel Frimpong, who is currently on loan with the Wolverhampton Wanderers has lashed out at the English FA, over their decision to delay John Terry’s trial.
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Anton-Ferdinand-c6260 in a Premier League game.
However, instead of going into the court for a hearing right after the allegations were made, the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 player has been informed that he will have to wait until the end of the Euro 2012, before an official trial is held.
Frimpong believes that the decision to wait for so long shows the double standard that the FA have developed, while indicating that they are nothing more than a joke.
While referring to the decision on his Twitter page, the midfielder is quoted to have said: “Wanna no if Anton Ferdinand was in the England team and was being charged for racism would the FA wait till the summer to charge?outoforder”
While sticking to what he thought of the FA, he went on to add that perhaps telling his mom was a much better idea, rather than going to the FA over it.
He added: “If I ever get Racially Abused I wouldn't think f telling the FA.....I would rather tell my mum.”
Terry and Anton Ferdinand exchanged words back in October and since then, nothing has happened over the player’s actions.
On the other hand, back in October, Luis Suarez went on to racially abuse http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Patrice-Evra-c29231 and was issued an eight match ban last month.
At this point, just about everyone is wondering how one player got his trial done almost immediate, while the other has more than ample time to see out the season, play in the Euro 2012 and then find out whether he is going to suffer a fine/ban or not.
Not only do decisions like these leave people wondering about the integrity of the English FA, but it makes people resent their decisions.
The FA need to try and find a way to have better consistency with their decisions, otherwise it wouldn’t be long before the players go on a striker to oppose them.
