Emmanuel Frimpong thinks Robin Van Persie is the perfect player to be Arsenal’s captain

The youngster has admitted that the Dutch international is one of the nicest players out there, but he also happens to have a lot of advice for the younger players. At the same time, Van Persie has a no nonsense attitude which can only help him prove to be a great leader for the team.

When talking about Van Persie and the clubs decision to make him the new captain, Frimpong is quoted to have said: “I couldn’t have picked a better captain for Arsenal”

“When I was in the reserve team and used to come over to train with the first team he was always so good to me - he makes everyone feel welcome and cracks jokes with them, which is just what you need.”
Van Persie has proven over the last couple of seasons that he has just what is needed to take control of the Gunners. The player has all the qualities that a manager would want their captain to have and then some. However, the only major concern that comes with Van Persie, is with him being injured. The forward seems to pick up a knock or two every now and then and when that happens, he won’t be able to take control of his team.
