Former Arsenal great French international Emmanuel Petit believes Arsenal will run themselves into the ground, if the team keeps selling their best players.
During the summers, Arsenal went on to sell Cesc Fabregas and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Samir-Nasri-c32360. Both the players were previously the pivotal members of the Gunners squad, who helped the team pick up a number of wins last term.
Petit believes that the team’s decision to let the two leave was a massive disaster and that it shouldn’t ever happen again in the future.
Petit, when talking about Wenger and his decisions to keep getting rid of the team’s best players is quoted to have said:  "The club is in a transitional phase. It is also at a crossroads, sporting and economically. If he continues to sell its best players,
it's dead.

"I can understand that Arsenal is in line with an economic logic, but to drop Fabregas and Nasri is a disaster, especially for the players who remain.

"Arsenal can not afford to lose such elements and show that it has no further ambition.

"Previously, the players left at the end of their career: Dennis Bergkamp, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robert-c31222 Pires and myself [all left]. Today Fabregas and Nasri left when they were at the top. It's very disturbing."
Petit seems to have gotten his comments about the team spot on. The team formerly used to keep hold of all of its players, until it was time for them to retire. This in turn helped the younger players learn from their senior squad members, while the experience
that they had, helped the squad sail through some tough time.
Now with Arsenal constituting of youngsters mostly, the team is going to have to start from scratch in order to build some chemistry and to develop an understanding, which helps them perform the way they used to in the past.
All in all, Wenger needs to start handing out contracts to the senior players at the club, or the end could be nearer than most people expected.
