Emo/Scene hair help!!!!!!!!!?

hello!

so i want to cut my hair, but i dont really know how.

im not going to a hair salon cuz thats hulla expensive, and i want to do it myself.

i want to do the scene/emo hairstyle. (no, im not emo or a poser.) but i dont know how.

ive hear that the best way to get that 'choppy, layered' look is to do it with a razor blade, but idk...

its alot easier if yoiu seperate your hairinto 4 parts.
top
middle
middle
bottom.
do the top one the shortest
the 1ST middle a lil longer.
the 2ND middle a lil longer than the 1ST.
and the bottom thin pieces of hair.



(if youd like that one strip piece of hair. . . .either you cut all the other layers off or extensions) . ...id go with the extensions.
