I might be rant about this but here i go...

What makes being emo so different? It's not called different if they're joing a group called "emo". Why do people turn emo anyway? My friend turned emo. She told me she saw something on myspace that said being emo is cool so she said she was going to try it out. The next day she was writing depressing poetry and asking me what I though about it. And now she worships Aiden {an emo band}. I just don't understand why people can't be themselves. And when they do turn emo they say "I found myself." And another thing...don't all emos grow out of it one day. I don't hate emos. I don't hate my friend. But why do some emos hate preps? I'm pretty preppy myself. If emos expect people to accept them sometime soon why do they go around saying "I hate preps." Why can't they let preps "be themselves" too???

  1. i never understood emo either....now i guess the new craze is being scene. idk what the heck that is, but according to my speculation, its a happy emo....oh well, i guess life gets to confusing for ppl, so they just label everyone to make it better.

  2. It's just their "emotional" way of trying to get attention. Period.

  3. Hear, hear! Live and let live say I. Actually, I think that 'being an emo' is just another pose, like being a punk, or a mod or a rocker. It's just a fashion fad to make people think they're more 'special', or more interesting. They're not!
