Emotional Problem - A-level results?

I got AAB for my a-level results

people around me were congratulating me on my results - friends & family

- i will be getting a fee waiver from university

- i got a new laptop and a new pricy bag as a gift

i dont know why i feel so so depressed and sad inside

i hide it from everyone around me

sometimes i cry at night thinking why did i get a B....i want 3As

i should have studied harder!!!

its been two weeks since results are out and i still feel sad that i did not get 3As...pls help me..its messing with my head....help!!!

  1. I think there is every possibility that you are subconsciously using your results to mask something else going on in your head. That something could be apprehension about going to Uni. This part of your academic life has now ended (A-levels) - the next part, the big one - is about to begin. Anxiety about it could be bothering you so you are choosing instead to focus on recent results.

    Please try to be positive about both. Lots of students didn't get enough to go to Uni. Look forward to the new life ahead - have fun while you achieve and then you will have no regrets when you start your career proper. Good luck and best wishes. UK


  2. Oh come that a pretty good set of results. Setting a high benchmark its good, but there are other things beside good results.  Academic achievement is one thing, spiritual achievement, character/moral building is another.  Dont mop over such matters.  Take credit for the good results and moved on.  There is more to life than academic achievement.
