  1. To answer your first question, yes it does more harm ESPECIALLY when you are thinking about your past. You see, I was in love with this one guy for nearly 8 months and then he broke my heart. While I still loved him, I hooked up with another guy an it just made me feel worse. I guess I felt like I was somewhat cheating with my feelings. Lying to myself. Trying to force myself to just leave my past. It didn't work out too well :/

About forgetting the past, believe me, it's SO SO SO hard to do if you aren't really the most emotionally stable person such as myself. Time really is the answer. I assume you're in a relationship right now? Well try to focus on how you can make this relationship different from your last. Live and learn right?

  2. YES emotional baggage can harm a relationship. You just need to learn to ACCEPT what had happened in your past. EVERYTHING happens for a reason. & When a person get's hurt, that gives them a chance to learn from the situation and become more stronger. God let's us get into difficult situations so that in the future we can overcome MORE DIFFICULT situations. Just try to think positive because if you keep letting your past bother you than it will ruin the relationship you have now. Best of luck to you =)

  3. Yes, emotional baggage does a LOT of harm in a relationship. It can really change you, with trust issues, with honesty, with a lot of things. I know this from first hand from having family issues and dating. It put a wall up between me and my now ex.

Just keep reminding yourself if you think about that past, that it was the past and you learn from things that has happened.
